Characteristics:
One of the largest species of the genus, occasionally over 100 mm in length.

Comments:
Sometimes called the "Royal" Goliath beetle, which derives from its species name - regius.

Varieties:
None noted - elytral markings only differ slightly between individuals.

Countries of origin:
Burkina Faso, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
