A Tasmanian trapper's cabin strung
with the corpses of thylacines and wallabies. Sights such as this
were an all too common feature of the Tasmanian countryside during the
19th and early 20th centuries. This photo was taken by professional
photographer E. Warde of Waratah sometime before 1906. Possibly,
the cabin is that of trapper J. Cooney, as records show that he claimed
bounty for two thylacines in Waratah on 19 June 1901.
