This area of the museum discusses several major ongoing thylacine research projects.

"The International Thylacine Specimen Database" is a presentation detailing the major cooperative effort between museums and universities worldwide to produce the first comprehensive database of all known thylacine specimen material.

"The Thylacine Genome Project" examines the effort to recover the complete genome of the thylacine from preserved museum specimens.

"The Thylacine Cloning Project" explores the possibility of cloning the thylacine using genetic material obtained from preserved tissues.
