- THYLACINE ANATOMY -

.
The anatomy subsection is one of the largest areas of the museum regarding a specific thylacine topic.  Here you can read a detailed account of the physical characteristics of the species, illustrated with many photographs and diagrams.  I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to fellow thylacine researcher Dr. Stephen Sleightholme of the International Thylacine Specimen Database Project for his assistance with this area of the site, especially for compiling the comprehensive information presented in the "Internal Anatomy" pages.  Thanks also go to ITSD photographer Nicholas Ayliffe for his image contributions.
