Thylacoleo carnifex fossils
- Complete skull: view 1 -
.

.
Perhaps one of the most spectacular of all Thylacoleo carnifex fossils ever found, this remarkably intact skull comes from the deposits of Victoria Fossil Cave, Naracoorte, South Australia.

The image shown is of a cast replica of this famous specimen.  As marsupials are one of my primary areas of interest, I must say that this replica is certainly one of the great prizes of my entire natural history collection.

Because of how its size compares to that of other T. carnifex skulls in general, this individual may possibly be a female.  To see a slightly different view of this skull, click here.
