Thylacoleo carnifex fossils

    The same skull viewed from a slightly different angle.
 
    Note the enormous, projecting upper and lower incisor teeth, as well as the shearing, blade-like premolars.  A dentition of this particular design is completely unique to the family Thylacoleonidae.  The skull's actual length is 230 mm.
