This engraving by an unknown artist is from an 1885 edition of "The Animal Kingdom Illustrated", by the American author Samuel Griswold Goodrich (1793-1860), better known under the pseudonym Peter Parley.  Publisher - New York : A. J. Johnson & Co., 1885.  The illustration may have been drawn by Goodrich himself.
