THE THYLACINE IN CAPTIVITY:
- THE HISTORICAL THYLACINE FILMS -
(film 10)

In September 2020, the research team of Linnard, Williams & Holmes discovered yet another unknown clip of thylacine footage in the NFSA archives.  The film, of which the thylacine footage runs for 5 seconds, was taken at the Hobart Zoo by the Reverend Harold S. Doyle on the morning of the 23rd December 1930.  The Thylacine featured is known to be the male specimen captured by Roy Delphin near Pontoon, west of Mt. Bischoff on the 7th July 1930.  The museum would like to thank John Doyle for graciously granting permission for his father's footage to be included on the Thylacine Museum web site.
