In this illustration produced sometime in the 1890s by an unknown artist, a pair of thylacines chase an emu.  Of note is the exaggerated size of the emu, as the now extinct Tasmanian subspecies (Dromaius novaehollandiae diemenensis) was not as large as its mainland counterpart.
